I’ve got a lot of drive to do things well. BOAZ has done a good job for being so new, but because of my background in manufacturing, I can bring more controls to the operation. I see processes that need to be put into place as we grow, as well as inventory controls that can be implemented. I am committed to deepening the foundations around how things are done. Nothing should feel reactive. By introducing the 5S methodology for workplace organization (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain), I make sure that BOAZ can continue to grow without losing the very qualities that made it so unique in the early days.
I worked in food manufacturing for over 25 years. Manufacturing has always been in my background. When cannabis was legalized, I thought it’d be great to get in early and provide more impact. It was like a new industry adventure, and everything just fell into place. I have learned how to spot opportunities in the production process and where to make improvements. I’m passionate about the benefits of medical cannabis as well as maintaining the family-like community that is present throughout BOAZ.
My passion is giving back. I’m a person who helps wherever it is needed. I’m a charity guy, and I’ve been involved in the community for over 20 years.
PATIENCE – If I don’t have direct control over it, don’t worry about it. Be patient, because eventually, everything will fall into place. Nine out of ten times if you’re rushing, you’re missing things. You do it right the first time, you won’t need to do it again.
